lyrics
Personal device is what I seek,
Not in the ceiling,
Nor in the upside down stairs
Social prophesy, that's what I’ve read
(That's what I’ve read!)
Let me be, let me be mad for free
I don't want to have to pay to pee
I'm just being me, just me and myself
Where's everyone else, where's everyone else!
No speech tonight,
That's the reason why I'm quiet
No reason either,
My ego is not to feel guilty
Oh no to feel guilty!
They pray, they pray looking for some chances in their brains
They pray and they don’t know what they’re saying
They don’t let me listen what they’re saying, but they’re just praying
They’re just praying,
And they wont let me listen to the eleventh song
Nor the tenth song
Let me be, let me be, mad, mad for free!
Let me be, let me be mad for free
I don't want to have to pay to pee
I'm just being me, just me and myself
Where's everyone else, where's everyone else!
(Where's everyone else!)
(Where's everyone else!)
Personal device is what I seek,
Not in the ceiling,
Nor in the upside down stairs
Social prophesy, that's what I’ve read
(That's what I’ve read!)
Street by street, even walking downhill
No matter how I’m going back
I’m gonna blow them out,
Street by street I’m gonna blow them out
I’m gonna blow them out,
And don’t think I kind ‘a know how
(Personal Device in the ceiling!)

Outstanding death metal with blackened touches. For those who dig Beherit, Cryptopsy or Demoncy, check out this LP. Much of this LP owes its brilliance to those who went before; that is, this artist does not deny metal traditions. But there is no pre-fabricated art here, as there is a strong, unique vision in all of the songwriting. The riffs all make sense in their given context; there's nothing that seems superfluous. Very highly recommended listening. Look forward to more from Blood Urn! Wow! xhrl_

Given Jarno's pedigree you'd think this would be a regular Finnish death metal album. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Serpent Ascending's exploration of the occult make it wholly unique. Choco Latte

This EP kicks and spits; it is unrelenting. The brutality of the old style of death metal here is meditative and bone-crunchingly harsh at one and the same time. Old school death metal eschews offbeat-based rhythms for cadences, introducing a slow rolling doom like thunder instead; the riffs drive the listener to the edge of distant thunder sanity. If you listen, it makes sense. Slow sludgy death metal thunders. This is brutal death sludge for those who love Thor. Except no substitute! xhrl_
